Karen Meder Holland
Founder & CEO
Karen is a results-driven HR executive with over 19 years' experience in strategic leadership positions. Her accomplishments include the creation of HR Departments for new organizations as well as re-establishing HR functions in companies who found themselves growing too quickly to maintain compliance.
While working for the largest non-emergency medical transportation company in the state of Ohio, Karen saw the company through its first DOT/FTA audit. This resulted in an overhaul of their DOT Substance Abuse Policy and Random Drug & Alcohol Program to bring the company into compliance. The initiative resulted in retaining a $10 million dollar contract.
An HR veteran of the services industry, Karen has collaborated with executives to develop and implement HR strategies to lay the foundation for future growth. While a member of the executive team at a law firm in Ohio, Karen spearheaded the evolution of its HR infrastructure with an emphasis on policy interpretation and revision, wage and hour law, employee relations, investigations, compensation, employee benefits, and HRIS implementation.
Karen holds an MBA with an HR concentration from Baldwin Wallace University and earned her BBA from Cleveland State University in Management & Labor. She also holds the SHRM-SCP credential and is licensed by the Ohio Department of Insurance in all major lines. Karen is currently a Doctoral Candidate at Liberty University.
